heres where I share my writings. It's bad, but I enjoy it!
I started writing poetry in the 6th grade so I could get emotions out that I couldn't with just drawing or painting. Sometimes, I just have to say it, not show it, you get? Anyways, it helped me a lot. Not just poetry, but writing in general. You know, I think I'm way better at writing on its own instead of poetry, but I can make any art I want either way.
I don't know, but hopefully you understand what I mean. I don't fully like making my poems about specific stories, I think poetry can be whatever, and so can writing. So I suppose my poetry is bad either way, whatever.
It's based on some guy I knew. That's all.
This one isn't based on anything, it's exactly what I recall. I asked my mom about it years later, and she didn't even know who I was talking about. I assumed I dreamt it all or was creating stories in my head that then evolved into me thinking they were real.
She didn't eat my bucket lunch, sadly.
I'd like to say that the true meaning is how I feel towards things even as simple as music. That people will throw away art for whatevers in style and that is how the internet and people just are. They get bored quickly. But that doesn't mean we should throw away such beautiful things that people put thought into.
Otherwise, the world is always in destruction, and we allow this to happen. People say they are tired of the government and world powers, yet do nothing at all to stop it. Therefore, if we let them thrive, things will most likely only get worse. Which we shouldn't let happen. I find it disgusting. People also say they are tired of stigmas and sterotypes, which is understandable. Yet for some reason people still give into them, which is also disgusting. I mean, nobody of any race, ethnicity, gender, sex, disability or illness should be classified by sterotypes and stigmas.
It is for people in a bad mood, or people in struggle. Obviously a simple poem isn't going to change someones mindset, but I wish to at least make anybody feel better. I'm not exactly sure what a "Sketchy Sunny" actually is, but I like to think of it as the sun in a drawing. Like in a sketch, not fully colored in and it is up to you to color it in. That's what I think of it at least.
I also got the name from the manga Hidamari Sketch.
Originally titled "Desolation and the Unnatural Melancholy."
The meaning of this is up to interpretation because I honestly have no idea. I just came up with it. All I can say is that it is devastating, unnatural and melancholic.
I've seen many youtube videos on biohazards, rotting things and people in struggle. I watch them because I find them interesting, and also because it lets me see what some people have to go through everyday. Some people struggle to the point of not being able to clean the space around them, hence this poem was created. I felt bad for those people, and they deserve better. At least a liveable area is the bare minimum.
I don't understand what the girl past the sidewalk is actually insisting because I go back and forth on it. That her home is a marble, but so is the speakers as well. Neither of them have liveable, cozy spaces to rest neither are actually "marbles." But at least they understand each others situation, sadly.
The title of this poem is inspired by the Dr. Seuss book, "To Think I Saw it on Mulberry Street", as well as the song "Goodbye, Mr. Schizo".
I used to get called a "schizo" a lot when I was younger because of my delusions, hallucinations and bizarre way of acting and thinking. I've grown to hate the word because of this, as well as the fact it is downright evil.
Like "Oregon Guy", there is no Schizo Guy. I made him up, but he is kind of a representation of myself. At the end of the poem, it shows how I've grown to try and not let this illness ruin my life, and the lives of the people around me. I have to accept the fact I may not get better, but I can hope and pray for this illness to (somehow, in someway) go away.
This is the only poem I've actually been kind of proud of.
The star represents special people I've met in my life. All of them have left me in some way, sadly, as seen in "It's ready for the blackhole next."
"Closer to jupiter than mars," since I find outer planets more interesting than inner planets in our solar system, this "star" is interesting to me as well.
We have all met someone significant in some way, therefore we have all seen a star. "But was it that one in particular?" shows the people I personally see as special. Eventually, I will slowly forget about this particular "star", so it goes from the top to the bottom of my thoughts.
"Eventually, it'll break down. With its super nova power crown, radiation kills us all. And I'm ready for my naked body to be baked like fresh pies and cake." similar to "It's ready for the blackhole next," both show that this person will slowly leave. I have experienced this a lot that in the end, I am already ready for the overwhelming sadness.
Pronounced "a-four b-four, nine-six-zero-four", the poem is closely related to themes of suicide. Talking about the speakers room being a crime scene once they've killed themself, and how their body will decay quickly with time. The main reason this person has decided to do this is because of some form of rejection. If whatever or whoever rejected them lied by saying yes or anything other than no, by hiding their or its feelings, this person wouldn't have done gone down this path. In a way, the speaker is selfish for wanting to be rewarded or accepted instead of rejected, but that's what I think.
The name "a4b4, 9604" has nothing to do with the poem. I really didn't know how to title this one, so that's the name I ended up with.
There is no "Oregon guy", they are whoever you think they are.
I had American Pie stuck in my head, so that's how I came up with the name Oregon Guy. It was originally titled "Oregon Boy/Mr. Oregon Boy", but I thought "guy" was easier to rhyme with.
On multiple social media, there is a little box saying "People you may know" that shows multiple peoples profiles that, well, you may or may not know. Mostly shown through connected mutuals.
What inspired this poem was the amount of dead people who's internet profiles are still up. Those people may show up on your "People you may know", even if they're long gone.
I think it's pretty obvious what this is talking about, so no futher depth is needed.
"Leeches on my Wall" is a metaphor for struggles to the point of suicide. Your hardships will make you weaker and weaker until you give up completely. In the end, the leeches are gone, but that's it.
Leeches being on a wall would mean that your problems consume you until you give up.
/This poem isn't meant to encourage self-harm or suicide./
