Sketch: From the future, tasked to save earth through the butterfly effect of changing the past.
Other than his main use for the plot, Sketch is somewhat like Caroline Clark from Oh Maria! in the sense they are both, in their own ways, mysterious and odd to the rest of the cast. He's more nonchalant than anything, but will protect Maureen. Since, well, by plot, if anything happens to her, the future will return to the same mess it already was to begin with. His clothing is chosen by Maureen, where she typically dresses him in more "stupider" outfits. He first came with inventer goggles on his face. Maureen didn't enjoy it though, she thought they didn't fit him.
Originally, he was around 19 years old, wearing inventer goggles almost all the time and had a more... "whatever" haircut. Changed it since it was difficult for me to draw all the time.
Maureen: [named after the song Maureen by Fountains of Wayne] A junior in highschool who is in a band with her friends Stacy and Wayne titled "Perfume in Valerie's Eye" (which she plays guitar for), finds Sketch and protects him from outside forces such as the government and scientist who want to study him. They both protect each other for different reasons. In a way, she does have feelings for Sketch, but it's more of a "whatever" thing.
Stacy: [named after the song Stacy's Mom by Fountains of Wayne], She is Maureen's best friend and drummer for their band. She strives to be a better drummer than Brian (Maureen's younger brother). She is also a junior.
Originally, I based her design off of this youtuber. I'd rather not say who, but it was a youtuber who made teal hair at some point. That's what her design (at least, her design for her hair) is based off of.
Wayne: Hey- so like Caroline Clark from Oh Maria!, this guy isn't based off of me in any way, ok? [In fact like Maureen and Stacy, he's named after something... Drumroll... He's actually named after the band Fountains of Wayne! Crazy, right?]
Maureen's crush (other than Sketch...) who also plays guitar for their band. He smokes a lot and normally hangs out at random or abandoned places. No particular reason for that, mostly just because he wants to "go on adventures".
His design was originally a regular boy with a skeleton body, aside from his face.
Less Imporant Characters but still not Secondary Characters
Brian: Maureen's younger brother, a pretty talented drummer in a band named "Underneath Neptune" with his friends Ann and Nathalie. He's in the 8th grade, just wants to be cool. He has a sort of disliking towards Stacy due to her disrespect towards him.
Anne Marie "Ann": In the 8th grade, plays bass for "Underneathe Neptune". She wears more colorful outfits, sporting a unicorn headband 99% of the time.
Nathalie: 9th grade guitarist for "Underneathe Neptune", she doesn't have many friends in her own grade, most of her friends are in the 8th, such as Ann and Brian. This is due to her being shy and scared of getting made fun of.
Helen: [based off the song "Sick Day" by Fountains of Wayne] An office worker who gives Wayne and Brian advice from time to time. She's very tired of and from her job.
Sonnet: [based off the song "Lost in Space" by Fountains of Wayne] Sophomore who has a crush on Sketch. She has an odd sense of style, mostly dressing terribly with planets decor.
Secondary Characters
Valerie: [where Maureen, Stacy, and Wayne got the name for their band] Typical popular girl like from the movies.
Joe [based off the song "Joe Rey" by Fountains of Wayne] Typical jock like from the movies, similar to Valerie. That's kind of their point though.
